OCF - Open Computer Facility

Volunteer (11/94 - 8/95)

Provided critical UNIX systems and technical user support for campus based internet access provider for Berkeley students, which was supported only through donations and volunteers. The facility is especially geared for new users and adds approximately 5000 new accounts each yr. As root I created accounts, wrote documentation and monitored system performance. In addition, I answered user questions, held office hours, taught students to use UNIX systems and maintained hardware. I helped create policy as a member of the Board of Directors.
